I had forgotten all about this shelf, the first one the friend in the bungalows built for me. Atop are the three flags--U.S., U.N., and Soviet-- I bought when Pat Byrne and I went to the UN while I visited him in NYC. probably in 1976.
I am going to put all of the dorm room pictures next because I am not always certain when I took some of them. You can also see the L.A. Rams pennant on the wall at the top. I was also in my NFL football phase.
Regarding the stereo components, I was always selling one or more off and then buying something to replacing them with someone newer. I subscribed to the elite stereo review magazine THE ABSOLUTE SOUND, a cottage publication. They were much more accurate and critical than STEREO REVIEW.
Some of the components I bought second-hand from an audiophile, Dave Morris, in the other BOQ building.
