About This Blog ~ This blog is about a series of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) super-hero, sci-fi, fantasy adventure novels called Rainbow Arc of Fire. The main characters are imbued with extraordinary abilities. Their exploits are both varied and exciting, from a GLBT and a human perspective. You can follow Greg, Paul, Marina, Joan, William, and Joseph, as well as several others along the way, as they battle extraordinary foes or take on environmental threats all around the globe and even in outer space. You can access synopses of the ten books using the individual links on the upper, left-hand column.

The more recent posts are about events or issues that either are mentioned in one or more books in the series or at least influenced the writing of the series.

Dennis and Linda Madura in front of their South Gate home, with the Camaro circa 1976

Here they are standing before their home in South Gate.  To the left is Dennis's prized 1973 Camaro, which he bought about the same time that I bought my '73 Camaro, at the same dealership off the San Diego freeway, Cormier Chevrolet.

His was more of a muscle car version than mine with the top.

He eventually sold his before I did, after he and Linda eventually moved inland from Oceanside, CA, not far from Camp Pendleton.  At that time, he worked for one of the large, California aerospace companies.

I once visited them there, it seems around Christmas, in the mid 1980's.  After that, we seemed to have drifted apart.  I was open then about being gay, and I am not sure that sat as well with Linda.  She was a more religious person, and after they married, she and Dennis, who never had been a church goer, attended church regularly.

They had a couple of kids at that point, as well.
