Greg in the Madura's South Gate garden, circa 1976

Here I am displaying, or being shocked by, the produce from their backyard garden in South Gate.

I believe this was the day I had stopped by the Carson Mall on my way, intending to buy some candy in a sweet shop there.  I ordered two pounds of white chocolate, not know how much that actually would be.  The sales girl made a snippy remark about the quantity, but, in a huff, I confirmed, "Yes, I want two pounds."

I ended up with more white chocolate than I could ever hope to eat, so I shared some with the Madura's when I got to their house.
